This southern mansion was not in its full glory. The massive crown moldings, the hand-selected antique floorings complete with wooden pegs, the beveled glass windows and doors, the hand-hewn beams in the kitchen, the best-of-everything throughout. . . simply did not present the coordinated look of luxury that was desired. Many years of pets, teenagers, and general use had given the house a very tired look. We chose to eliminate anything that did not support the refined look that the home-owner desired. All floors were refinished, rooms were painted, lighting was updated, rooms were re-organized, balconies were furnished, new window treatments were completed, and many new pieces of furniture were added. The home-owner's new passion for gardening was all that was needed to complete the new fresh "joy of living" look for this beautiful home.
